How many people did Jack The Ripper kill?

How many people did Jack The Ripper kill? This question is almost impossible to answer as "Jack" was never caught.

It is widely accepted that Jack the Ripper killed five prostitutes with two more being possible or likely victims.

The five widely accepted victims are referred to by experts as the "Canonical Five". These victims are:

Mary Ann Nichols - 31st August 1888

Annie Chapman - 8th September 1888

Elizabeth Stride - 30th September 1888

Catherine Eddowes - 30th September 1888

Mary Jane Kelly - 9th November 1888

There are two other victims who are considered to be possible Jack the Ripper victims. These are:

Emma Elizabeth Smith - 3rd April 1888

Martha Tabram - 7th August 1888
